Vicon Industries Inc., of Hauppauge, New York, has added several new megapixel models to its I-ONYX Series of IP cameras. Powered by the newest version of ViconNet digital management software, they offer 1.3 megapixel resolution and M-JPEG/MPEG-4 compression. They are available in bullet, dome, and vandalproof models, and include indoor, outdoor, day/night, and infrared versions. All include a micron megapixel CMOS module, power over Ethernet, a power adapter, and competitive frame rates. The updated software supports third-party megapixel cameras as well as cameras from Vicon.
