Arecont Vision， the IP-based megapixel camera manufacturer， unveiled the SurroundVideo Omni Mini dual sensor megapixel camera.
　　The SurroundVideo Omni Mini features twin megapixel camera sensors that are individually mounted in the Arecont Vision-designed three-axis gimbals， and are each able to look in virtually any direction， including straight down.
　　This new camera is the US firm says suitable for providing coverage of areas that require high definition video of two directions at once， where the company's full-sized multi-sensor SurroundVideo camera is not required. Common uses will be the firm says for building entrances， exits， and corridors， for indoor or outdoor corners， or placed above two POS (point of sale terminals) or ATMs (automated teller machines).
　　The low-profile SurroundVideo Omni Mini camera will be available in 2， 4， 6， and 10MP models. The ability to change lenses brings additional flexibility in application use， with 2.1， 2.8， 4， 6， 8， 12， and 16mm lens choices.
　　The SurroundVideo Omni Mini features remote focus， and is described as a true day/night camera for applications with variable lighting， regardless of time of day. The cameras are designed on the Arecont Vision H.264 encoding platform. The company's new SNAPstream (Smart Noise Adaptation and Processing) further decreases bandwidth usage.
