Full-HD video cameras

　　Sony has launched eight new Full-HD video security cameras to its latest line up of sixth generation (G6) range of network cameras. The new video security V and E series cameras include:

　　– V-Series: SNC-VB640, SNC-VB642D, SNC-VM641, SNC-VM642R

　　(Main features：1080p/60 fps, High sensitivity, View-DR, Audio, SD card, Easy Focus, PoE, AC24V/DC12V, Sensor Input/Output)

　　– E-Series: SNC-EB640, SNC-EB642R, SNC-EM641 (pictured), and SNC-EM642R

　　Sony says that these cameras offer detail and higher visibility through low-light sensitivity, suitable the firm says for a range of applications, including city, transport and commercial surveillance. These upgraded G6 cameras include image sensors, lenses and image processors. The new V and E series cameras can capture images beyond the reach of conventional cameras, it’s claimed.

　　The products come with the Exmor R CMOS sensor and eXcellent Dynamic Noise Reduction (XDNR), offering the company says noise and ghost free images, achieving the minimum illumination figure of 0.006 lux(30IRE)* and 0.01 lux(50IRE)*. The colour integrity of images is maintained even in poor light, according to the manufacturers.

　　Users can capture objects in dark conditions from a distance of up to 100m with the V-series, and up to 60m with the E-series, according to the makers. This coverage is made possible through the addition of the Exmor R sensor into these enhanced cameras. The Exmor R sensor with the integrated IR illuminator ensures the cameras are able to capture IR images without overexposure, it is claimed.
