StarView series

　　The latest addition to Uniview’s Starlight camera range is the StarView series. The makers say that the products provide images at ultra-low light illumination in total darkness.

　　The theory of producing a high-quality image in extreme low light is simply to increase the amount of light that passes through the lens and image processing chipset. The Uniview 2MP Starlight Bullet camera (IPC2222ER5-DUPF40-C) features an F1.2 lens to increase that amount of light passing through providing full-colour images in the harshest of low light conditions.

　　The StarView series also includes a mini bullet camera (IPC2122SR3-UPF40-C), which is also built with the same H.265 DSP chipset, enabling the camera to process an image with far superior image quality at extreme low light the makers say. In simple terms, the F1.2 lens and the H.265 DSP improves the image definition and colour representation by at least 25 per cent, according to the firm.
